"The yellow Banana Tomato is also a paste tomato. It's a must in my garden"
what does that mean (paste) and can it go outdoors? I was given them, so no seed packet info!
I would take it to mean that it is a good tomato for making pasata or puree.

I'd give it a go outdoors but that depends where you are.
Never heard of Yellow Banana.
Orange Banana, yes.
Banana Legs, yes.
Never, Yellow Banana.
Anyway, back on topic, yes a paste tomato is one suitable for making into pasata, puree and sauces, it tends to have a very high flesh to seed goop ratio and may be a tad pulpy for eating fresh.
Thanks all. I am wondering if it's label is from the pepper plant she gave me :) Although, she did say the toms were yellow

i grew cream sausage last year not sure if its the same thing but it was a bit insipid so i put it into one of the winter swaps.
PS i grow all my tomatoes outside and it did OK.

Thanks thifasmum, that's an interesting looking one. I have looked again at all the labels and it does seem the tom is called yellow banana! Will just have to give it a go!
