Bought one of these today so I can pump water out of water tank/water buts and save strainn on my shoulder. It has a 13 litre per hour capacity and is 600w. 3 year guarantee. It can cope with small particles of debris (5mm)
There is a bigger one that can cope with big debris/solids like sewage :-X but its about £30

please can you tell me how does a water pump works. Does it takes water out of one container and into another via a hose pipe. Thank you.
That's what I am hoping it will do BUT I am thinking now that the cheaper one won't cope with leaves etc that may be on bottom of the container....so may have to think again :(

That doesn't sound right to me I have a 500w Silverline submersible dirty water pump that accepts solids up to 20mm which has an output of 200 litres per minute (12,000 LPH). I paid £17.99 for it in the local ironmongers.
Are you sure the Lidl one isn't 13,000 litres per hour.
Given the fact allotments don't come with electricity supplies a drill pump may be a better option as you could use a cordless drill to power it rather than having to invest in a generator.

baccy man, you are right. I had a brain-lapse there. It definitely only takes particles up to 5mm so think yours is much better. This water tank is in our garden. It's an old commercial horticultural one and is about 3/4 foot deep but the lip is high. Cripples me getting in and out with a can
