They all look fantastic!

It is my first year growing anything this year and I have just covered my brassicas over as I have a problem with the pigeons!! I notice you don't have yours covered with anything.

I am growing sprouts, cabbage and broccoli. My first question is they are now shaded slightly from the sun, will this matter as they have grown quite well till now in the sun?? Also I already have a head of broccoli showing in one plant should I do anything with this or just leave it?

Hope you can help, thanks.

Fantastic crops. Lucky you, you don't have to net any, as we have rabbits and pigeons on the site and if they werent protected they would be desimated in no time. So my plot is a mass of nets and barriers. busy_lizzie  >:(

I do! I came home from holiday last year and all my brassicas looked like rows of dead christmas trees.

This year I invested in a 50m roll of debris netting, best 30 quid I've ever spent.
