Has anyone used table tennis balls as cane toppers? or for protecting netting atop a cane structure?
I've located a LARGE number of these for a very small price and they would serve my purposes for draping nets over, I think. Or will they be altogether to small and flimsy for it?
Opinions?
I was wondering that as the 2 stars and below are being discarded at home and my OH threw one at me and said you can have that might be useful for your gardening!
Usefull for holding up netting but I fear not so good if you fell on one! We use tennis balls but a member supplies then by the bin load - at times our site looks like we have dicovered a strange new citrus fuit ;D
I think maybe they'd go brittle quite quickly in the sun?
Not that I'm an expert on sports equipment - only piece own is a badminton racquet, and I think that now qualifies as vintage/antique. ::)
I've gone with tennis balls - agree they are probably safer and will last longer...
I find golf balls and a nine iron are excellent for scaring cats off ::)
If you want to play with ping pong balls, this might help.

what a sad bunch of guys!
Actually thanks plot 69 you've given me an idea. I need a sling shot to use with the TT Ball, I can use it on the cat that keeps coming in my garden after 'my birds'.
