I planted out my courgettes from the greenhouse 2 days ago and I noticed an unusual marking on them. It was grey in colour with little black dots on it. Also one plant's leaves have curled around the edges. Even though there seems to be a problem there are new leaves and condition is otherwise fine. Does anyone have any idea what this is and what I should do?
Thanks

Transplant shock? Did you harden them off before plantiong out? ???
I have no idea on the black bits but the yellowing I had on mine when I potted them on and I gave them a feed or two with Miracle Gro and they recovered nicely so I guess maybe the potting compost is low on some required nutrient.
I didn't harden them off but I noticed the markings on them when they were in the greenhouse so can't be because of transplanting.
I agree with Daveyboi... Oh and welcome to A4A Dave... ;D

Thank you Saddad
Its quite common this and looking at the growing tip they look quite happy. Just remove the yellowing leaves.
Where daveyboi said he transplanted them on and fed them I would say the planting on would have been enough i.e. your plant might have been pot bound and not getting enough light.
Not hardening them off will have exaggerated the problem in my opinion.
I don't know about feeding because I never feed mine they get all they need from growing them in my compost heap!
I might not have made myself clear ... mine started yellowing about a week or two after potting on and I also noticed the same with a couple of tomato plants that were using the same compost but the other tomatoes using a different make of compost were fine so I guessed it might be the compost deficient in something.
