Title: Apples
Post by: Mrs Ava on September 24, 2004, 17:32:07
Bordering on the insane, I still have a bag full of apples which will not store as they are bruised or have broken skin.  I have made apple cakes, apple crumbles, apple pies, apple flans, apple lasagnes,  apple sauces and used some in jams and chutneys.  I even tried an apple upsidedown cake today just to be different.  Does anyone have an interesting alternative recipe I could try.

p.s.  I'm afraid of all the gadgets I have, a juicer isn't one of them so can't go down that route.  :-\

Picked some greengages and brambles today Teresa, so a fruity apple crumble will be in the freezer later!  ;D  My freezer is begining to groan at the amount of produce going into it!

Oh EJ,
You may feel like a squirrel now but think of the winter months where you can munch all your hard work.
