I don't know who it was that posted the tip about putting ginger root in the airing cupboard but thanks. It has worked. I now have 2 ginger plants ;) ;) ;).

They need some heat to root so put them in the airing cupboard or a propagator.
I put them in the A/C a few weeks ago & one of them has a second shoot & the other has grown so must have rooted.

I potted the two pieces on 27th April & didn't put them in the airing cupboard until I saw the tip on here (don't know when that was). I've just looked in the A/C & one of them has 3 shoots on it now. I have taken them out now to harden off. Does that sound right?

I potted 2 bits up with the knobbly bits sticking out the top and although they seem healthy, so shoots yet.  Been there about 2 weeks or so.  Should I stick them in the air cupboard now do you think????
