Title: Anyone interested in ex battery hens?
Post by: Al37 on May 24, 2009, 20:15:04
I have recently become involved with hen rehomers UK and will soon be the county Durham co-ordinator.
There is going to be a rescue on Saturday 6th June - should you have space to give a couple of ex batts a home please visit our website and fill in an application. We have 2500 hens coming out!

There is also a list of collection points on the website.
If you need any further info let me know.

Hi Richard,
I will be dropping off many hens tomorrow but not at your coordination point. That will be another driver.
I am really looking forward to it but its going to be a long day. Starting at 3am :o I will be helping at the farm then dropping hens off at places such as Goole, Sheffield, Bradford, Harrogate, and weardale with a few more in between ;)
Hope it all goes well for you and enjoy your new hens :D

Hi bazzysbarn,
If you pm me your nearest town I will try and find out for you. There are a few people taking care of hens without homes for now. When I get your pm I will find out for you.
