I sowed 4 wautoma cu's cos last year they were so good. They have been doing really well until yesterday. Looked in the GH and they had both wilted.The other2 that have been hardening off outside are doing well.Any info would be welcome

Check them at soil level!
They are prone to 'neck rot' and this is where it manifests itself.
I used to grow mine on mound so that when I water the water runs off this point.
This last couple of years I have tried something different and it seems to work.
I fix a 'gator' around the base to keep this area dry!
It is formed with an inverted vending cup or similar with the bottom removed and the plant is laced through it at planting time.

It sounds like neck rot to me as well ( have been known to call it stem rot)
Nice idea that Tee Gee-the other well tried method is to insert a cut off plastic bottle into the soil at planting time and water via that.
F1 cucumbers are not cheap so anything to prevent rot is a very good move
