Just put  them in and they will grow no problem.

 :) my King Edwards went in on Wednesday, after we had all the rain, the ground was rock hard before/ shades x

My PFA didn't go in until June last year, bung em in Reddy.     ;D ;D ;D

I'm behind in spud planting...again.........son has been putting some mains in on his plot today, using the lazy bed method as the plot was overgrown until this year.

There are a few people who plant spuds (in tubs under cover) all year round. Their biggest problems are blight and other creatures eating them like slugs.

If you get lucky with the elements and pests, you will enjoy a crop. Roughly 12-17 weeks to get to eating size, so you should beat the frost and harvest.
