any of you ever eaten this?
Yes, but only as a grazing salad... have a few plants by my compost bin and a dozen transplants in cells... :)
yes but only the first few weeks when the first new leaves are really tender with a nice flavour in salads primrose and viola flowers as an extra spring treat but now the plant is more robust even the young leaves at the apex taste well ...... weedy ;D, the flowers are still nice now though.
i tried growing it last year in the herb bed with collected seed but nothing but this year a seedling came up in the asparagus bed so I've potted it on and when the roots are showing at the bottom of the pot I'll plant it out.
Thanks for this, I will try it next year as have LOADS of it growing along my hedgerow. If you two want another/few , just say :)
just remember if you are grazing from the hedgerow try and take where dog walkers don't pass as they at the perfect height for a spot of wee :-X
Good point :) If hubby starts chasing cats after eating it I will know why!!!!
;D ;D
