Thought you might like a sneak preview of my main plot's progress this year, things are moving apace in the rain!
Right hand side, the peas are in situ now, and the first lot of dwarf french beans. The allium beds at the back have the garlic, shallots and onions in, all doing well so far.

My 'new' bean frames, purchased from a lovely gentleman who had them specially engineered for him but no longer needed them; a good eBay purchase! They fit brilliantly on my raised beds. Getting them to the plot on the top of OH's van was a challenge.... ::)

Staggered sowing of several types of lettuce, the mini cloches (aka plastic bottles cut in half) keep them warm and protect from the slimies...

The flower bed at the front of the plot. The cardoons are growing strongly now, and the golden foliage of the aquilegias I grew from seed last year is very eye catching. You can see Saddads greenhouse in the background.

HSL crimson flowered broad beans. They are flowering, but the bean weevils love them too.......at least this lot haven't got chocolate spot (so far..) like my last attempt at growing them did!

I spy a plastic chair!!!! See other post. I think your shed and plot are beautiful and have gone green with envy. My plot is full of horse/mares tail are looks a mess, but hopefully will get some produce.

"Camelot, camelot, camelot.......It's only a model" ;D ;D
The back is finished, it's one side that has to have some logs reduced in size and weight before they will fit on! Gives OH something to do, along with all the other bits that need sorting, I have plans you know.... ::) ;D ;)
Technically it's a side, but it's the back from where you view it... I like those plastic chairs by the way... ;D
Whoever knew plastic chairs could cause so much outrage..........they are actually very comfy, and best of all free! 8)
There is still plenty to get on with though, hopefully I will get it all done before the Open Day.......did I forget to mention about that? ;D ;D ;D
very nice, thats a great looking plot makes mine look like a tip ;D
I think I would rather refer to mine as a natural, wild life garden/allotment. How come my lovely wood chip paths are now full of weeds. I think some people on here are professional gardeners, but I don't care cause I still enjoy it and my 'hiddly piddely' plants and planting still seem to do OK (sometimes). Anthing that doesn't get eaten by pigeons or slugs is a bonus. All my lovely figs have fallen of my fig tree, I have netted it but have only got a few left. Perhaps it was too cold and it should have wrapped it in fleece. My bramley apple tree was covered with blossom and seems OK but hope the wind hasn't blown them away. My strawberries seem to doing OK, have netted them, but as I am away for a week from next Sunday, will either come back to a disaster area or everything will have grown well without me constantly looking at it or prodding it about. Anyway if keeps me busy and have made loads of lovely allotment friends and if my produce fails they are very pleased to give me some of theirs.
And when have you been round the back of Debs shed then. :o ;D

figs are supposed to be removed from the plant in the dormant season, leave only the ones that are about the size of a pea!! (these grow on during this year for fruit!!)
;)
Thanks, I never knew that.
