:)
Very nice. Do cut Aquilegia and Solomon's Seal last very long.
Still, if it hides the picture of the MIL, its worth every second. :)
How Fabulous saddad, what do you treat the solomon's seal with to stop them being eaten alive, whatever it is I know you have to be quick.
Thank you for the pics
Beautiful. Lovely photo saddad.
Mine have never been eaten by anything.
There is a sawfly, but I've only had it once. Breaking the lifecycle by getting rid of a generation worked well.
I'm fairly certain it is gooseberry sawfly "eating out"... :)
mine also get eaten EVERY year ,stripped infact .The little bliters wont leave em alone...... :-\
Hi Rob, and welcome to A4A if we haven't said hello already.. ;D

Good morning and hi back!!!!!
I often have trouble with Solomon's Seal Sawfly larvae - they can strip a plant bare in just a day! I try and just keep an eye on the plants and the larvae can be rubbed off pretty easily. Last year I fried them all on the shed roof to kill them and the birds had a feast!
You can barely see ours.
