Title: smart hose reel winder
Post by: tomatoada on May 15, 2009, 15:46:28
What does anyone think of the above which Suttons have on offer?  I would love a hose that rewinds itself.

Not sure what it looks like, have a look on ebay you could save yourself a few quid. Just type in hose pipe and you will find a few of them.

Thanks for reply.  Popped onto ebay.  The only one I found needs to be wall mounted and I have not got a wall on my plot.   Would still like to hear from someone who has used one.   Thanks again.

I haven't used one myself but they usually get good reviews the 2 problems most fequently mentioned are that the water used to rewind the hose creates a puddle near the reel where it is discharged through a short length of hose & the water piston engine tends to wear out after a few years.

There is a very similar one on ebay (wall or floor mounted but supplied with 20m of hose rather than 30m) for £32 inc P+P rather than the £59.95 + £3.95 postage suttons is asking.

The manual for the ebay one is of limited use but if you want to read it can be downloaded from:
