Hi Guys
I've had a great time away ;D and you are now reading a message written by the national field archery society ladies hunting tackle gold medalist!
Yes I did it! I got the gold at the biggest field archery event of the year the NFAS national championships ;D - very pleased with myself! got a big trophy and everything! (and made my mum cry ::))
I see that although I have only been gone a few days that I have a million messages to read it should take some time - just as well that I have a few more days off!!
Have I missed anything major? anyone have any exciting news?
Sam
Not a lot, Sam - except the finals of the wonderful lottie comp.
But archery? See my pm! = Tim
Well done Pixie!
Congratulations Sam - I bet your mum is really proud :)
WOOHOO! Congratulations Sam! And a big kleenex for Sams mum! How fab is that. Ava asked, do 'they' still hang their medals on their belts? Sounds cryptic to me!!!
We have so many tallented members on this site!
Congratulations Sam well done.
Sorry I went missing again - tooth fell out :( and had to go to the dentist (who was quite nice really)
Thanks for all the congrats guys
Mum cried buckets - my Dad went into the 'how proud am I of you' speach and my lover got upset because he missed the medals being handed out (clutch went on the car)
EJ - tell Ava yes some do - (but not wishing to brag mine got too many and now live on a prize board at home.) did he used to shoot?
Thanks again guys - I may stop smiling some time this year! ;D ;D ;D
You brag away Sam - tis something to be very proud of! Any photos of the proud moment?? Ava did shoot apparently, there isn't much that chap of mine hasn't done! He shot for a club and won many awards, so he informs me.
What style did Ava shoot EJ? did he shoot NFAS?
I will hopefully have some photos from others emailed as I trusted mum with the camera ::) couldn't see for crying! but I will post one when they arrive. ;D
Oh well done Pixie - can just imagine how proud your Mum & Dad must feel. Also your boyfriend and you too should feel totally elated.
One of my best friends, who lives in Chelmsford - her son 'shoots' but I'm not sure what style - assume he shoots for an Essex club. He's always off somewhere taking part in things.
Be lovely to see some pics when you get them.
Sorry to hear about the tooth - does that mean you're 'gappy' ;D
Thanks Hot Potato
I promise I will post some photos soon!! and I am very proud of myself ;D
I'm not gappy but my gum hurts still - blasted teeth - they are so expensive too :( - I think my dad had the best idea when he had all his pulled out. :P
Archery is a lovely sport to partake in as it is open to all ages. During the champs I shot with a little girl of seven and a bit, her dad, a teenager (who was under my care as she was under sixteen) and an oap we all got on well and had a fab day.
