Today I got some builders netting to protect my brassicas. Usually it is green but this is navy blue. Would the colour have any adverse effect on the crops or pests compared to the green
What colour are the holes?
:) most peoples plots on our lottie site seem to be covered with navy blue netting for fruit cages, covering brassicas etc, so you should be fine/ shades x
Eristic :D ;D :-X sorry cant help my self

Love it!
But many a true word is spoken in jest, after all it is the holes that are the issue i.e. are they letting light through?
I really do want some of that debris netting but I don't like the green the blue or the pink. Why doesn't someone come up with a nice natural colour that wouldn't look like a carnival decoration

Have a word with HM forces (Army) Shirl, they might give you some camouflage netting! ;) ::) ;D
Yes, maybe put pictures of Caulis on it?
You could always paint it. ;D
Thankyou people for your replies. Having only seen green netting I didn't know if the blue would hinder the light or not. I guess I will now be setting frames up over the weekend.

Bl@@dy hell, they do a pink one?, Shush, dont tell the other half :D
Thanks Kea for the link. The white would look better that the bright colours and I should think it would dull down a bit after a while(It would after having some nettle brew through it.
Thanks to Tee Gee. Do you think they would send me some if I asked nicely ;D
I'm making my own netting - just sewing some holes together ! :P
I tried that Kendy but kept putting the holes down and losing them. :D
you could always stain them blue! ;D
