Have you tried any repeat flowering irises?

I'm trying to decide whether to buy some

Very pretty.  I love the 'simple' Irises and can't wait for my Dutch ones to flower.   :)

Sorry, omitted to say how good your iris looks. What variety is it?

They're lovely aren't they? I love the leaves as well.

A lot of my neighbours have beautiful lavender blue irises, I'm thinking of asking whether they could spare any if they're dividing clumps. When would that be - is it an Autumn thing?

Thay're usually split once flowering is over, so summer.

Hi Saddad, apparently Tectorum is a type, Japanese Roof Iris, which has either predominantly purple or white flowers. I would guess that yours is quite rare because nearly all google images are purple.

It was a T+M special offer about 17 years ago.... I've kept it since, it isn't difficult. There was one a few years later with variegated foliage but I didn't like that...  :-\
