Post by: JoeCocker on May 12, 2009, 08:35:58
I planted my beans outside just over a week ago and the leaves have started turning brown, is this normal. i'm growing them in a raised bed filled with green compost from the local council? ???

Ideally the beans should not be out till the end of may.It just too cold for them. :)

When you look at the weather forecast always check the low temp as well as the high. :)

i sow mine outdoors in situ now!

my neighbour last year lost his massive hothouse grown plants with a late frost and i planted my seeds when he put the second lot in - they were six inches tall - my seeds got thru straight away and were at leat a foot talller than them by mid june

just  lucky i guess but it works
