Title: Leaves scorched on my runner beans!
Post by: Duke Ellington on May 10, 2009, 16:32:02
Today while I was out the leaves on some of my runner beans look as though they have been scorched. Will the beans be okay to use ? Should i start some more ?
I have never had this problem before as I have never had a greenhouse  :'(

If it's a couple of leaves and they are growing well they'll be fine...  :)

Not sure where in the country you are Duke, but it's probably to hot in the glass house with the temperatures we are getting at the moment. People on our site are setting them out already. Think i would be too if mine were ready. They are just poking their heads through the compost, so another couple of weeks for me yet.

Thanks for your answers ~ I have moved them out now to the cold frame. I didn't realise just how hot it was in there!! I need to get that shading up fast!!
