Hi All,
I am currently re-doing the garden and it faces away from the sun as they built the houses the wrong way round!
I would like to stick in a dwarf fruit tree but is it worth it without full sun? Any ideas what would grow well?

I have apple and conference pear in an area where we get little sun because of the garage.
These are standard trees and grow above the building so the tops are not in shadow.
I never think that the dwarf trees are worth bothering with because they do not bear that much fruit and are usually quite expensive. Personal choice of course.
Morelo cherry is best on a northern wall..... you gotta love cooked cherries though..... (actually I quite like a friend of mines cherry preserve..... layers of pitted morellos sprinkled with sugar and topped off with brandy, leave for 18 months...... use the cherries for ice cream topping, cheesecakes and pie fillings... they freeze them at 18 months and bottle off the booze..... great if you put a tablespoon in a glass and top off with cava......

yes, morello sherry. I agree, so does Harry Dodson.
I know it is more of a bush than a tree, but redcurrants and whitecurrants prefer to be out of full sun. We had two enormous bushes growing in the shade of a mini-orchard when I was growing up, and they fruited like crazy.
