Title: Christmas Cactus
Post by: tancat28 on May 09, 2009, 23:36:07
I got a plant from a friend who was leaving last week, but it's gone all soggy now :(. I think I might have killed it with too much love. . .

Does anyone have a cutting that they can spare? Would happily pay for postage. Thanks.....

seperate a few of the stems from the mother plant, put into a free-draining compost mix, don't over-water! they should form roots!
rgds, tony.
if you still need replacement, pm me yor address in a couple of weeks if they ain't got going!

Keep the cuttings dry for a few days so the wound forms a callus, then only slightly dampen the compost. You won't kill it by keeping it too dry, but it's very easy to start it rotting.
