nope no smell what so ever ???
white horehound? or some other labiate?
The only two that look like it in my herb book are white horehound and wall germander. Neither say anything about smell, the first has white flowers and the second are pink. I take it, it hasn't flowered yet? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvbbff
sorry that was the cat ;D the white horehound says that the leaves are green and wrinkled with the underside of a sliver woolly texture. Wall germander are mid green and shaped like miniature oak leaves with crumpled edges. :)
no it hasn't flowered yet,
i think it looks more like the wall germander i'll wait for it to flower and then i'll be able to id it better.
It doesn't look anything like our "Germander" hedges Thifasmom....
:-\
Could send you a clipping for comparison... might be another germander though.
???
Definitely not borage. It looks like a labiate, but I could be wrong.
Are the stems square in cross section?

i'll check tomorrow.
I think it could be Germander speedwell - Veronica chamaedrys - also known as 'bird's eye speedwell'. Has very pretty blue flowers with a white eye and is a perennial wild flower but there is a 'garden' variety too.
it does look more like Wall Germander than White Horehound.
lemon balm ?
This is my lemon balm, similar, have you crushed the leaves to release any scent?

Linda
deffo not lemon balm i've got some, plus it has no scent at all.
i'm not sure about the Germander speedwell - Veronica chamaedrys either.
i'm still leaning more to Wall Germander.
