How come supermarket apples are scentless and yet the ones from my 4 trees smell like concentrated cider! Delish!!
Don't they make some wax using the crushed up kneecaps of some sort of beetle and then smother the apple with that and then maybe the smell can't get out anymore?
Nice!
Sarah
You may also notice that if you cut open a Supermarket apple the flesh does not go brown, but one from the garden very quickly oxydises.
