LOL If i had cut the cauli off when it was on the plant yes, but if i pulled out the whole plant out it would be pulled.
If you pull the whole plant out it keeps fresh longer ;D
Sorry forgot to say well done its a good feeling All that from a seed the size of a pinhead!!

some of the cauli's I've grown over the years haven't been much bigger than a pinhead at the end :D..... congrats davy!
;D congrats! a great feeling hey! hope you are very proud of yourself, enjoy eating it!
Nice one Davy. ;D ;D ;D
Bigger than any cauli I have grown, at least twice over.
No joy with all year round. This year I have spent £8 on cauli seeds to see if I can get a decent sized crop. :-\ :-\
Candid Charm: Har Jun-Sep
Deakin: Har Sep-Nov
Snow March: Har Mar
Aasmeer: Har Apr-May
:) well done, hope it was tasty,
I remember when I grew my first one I was sooooo excited I thought I would burst ;D/ shades x
Purple Cape is the only one I've ever had any real luck with so well done!! :)
Well done. Hope mine turn out like that. :)
KT, Candid Charm is a good Cauli to grow i have never had a failure with them yet, another is Colnel /Cornel ( not sure how its spelt.)
The Cauli,s i am pulling/cutting/eating/freazing are Holland Winter Walcheran, I have great results every year with them the bad points are they are in almost a year, planted last June and getting them now. They take up a lot of space and you need to plan carefully where to plant them so they don,t interfear with the following years crop.
This is my todays pickings.

:'(
I thought i would just add this just incase some one decides to grow these cauli,s this what you have to pt up with

sorry for my ignorance but did you get one single cauli from that enormous plant (assume fork is full size yes?)
Yes and yes
Brilliant Davyw, hope you are enjoying eating them. I too have had great success with that variety, well worth growing if you are new to growing cauli's. Found they needed no looking after.
Thank goodness for this post..... we were just about to give up on our caulis (baby plants bought mail order and planted in september last year)
Guess we'll leave them in a bit longer and fins somewhere else to plant the stuff intended for that bed! ::)
wowzers very nice i got my first overwintering cauli a few days ago to was very yummy but for some strange reason it was all spaced out n small
