I'm looking to purchase a roof ladder for access to bees in chimneys or bird proofing chimneys etc. as using multiple poles can get a bit inaccurate at times.
Can anyone recommend a good ladder?
As I'm a one-man-band it needs to be light enough to be lifted up a ladder with one hand and onto the roof. It will need a couple of jocky wheels too.
How many metres would be required for the "average" roof and would you advise one or two piece?
Basically I need the lightest ladder that is long enough for the job.
I notice Screwfix have some in their catalogue?
As a retired decorator, I would suggest that you get a professional alloy roof ladder. You should also use "softening bags" to pad the roof. You should have insurance cover and this requires that you use class 1 and 2 ladders and not class 3 (DIY Ladders). I suggest you have a look in your local decorators/builders merchants.
