Post by: chippy queen on April 29, 2009, 11:25:03
I have some leeks in 3" pots in the greenhouse. They are about 6" tall.  Should I plant them out yet or not?? Many thanks

The old criteria was "as soon as they are as thick as a pencil", but they go when thinner than that. Watered in well to good deep holes.

I hold them until the first earlies are out, then put them into that ground... saves space..  :)
