My lilac, which I planted last year, is showing no sign of flowering. Could it be that it's not getting enough sun? It's in a west facing border.

It may just not be strong enough yet; give it a couple of years.

Thanks Robert.  I only planted it last autumn, so I realise I must be patient and wait.
