Title: sticky bamboo
Post by: ImpressiveMarrow on April 25, 2009, 15:02:04
Hope someone can help....
We have some lovely bamboo in a pot outside our front door but just recently the leaves have all gone sticky and the whole plant looks a bit sorry for itself.
Any ideas on how to make it unsticky and lovely again would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Graham.

Aphids or possibly spider mites may be the problem.

Probably honeydew from aphids; they excrete sugar solution. If you spray with soapy water, that should kill them.
