Title: magnolia petals - can/should I put them in with the leaves?
Post by: gwynleg on April 25, 2009, 13:58:35
I have an open cage thing for the magnolia tree leaves that I get from my garden. Would it work to put the now mainly fallen petals into the same cage or should I put them in the other composter?
Thanks for any advice...

Do what you like; they'll rot down either way.

In the last few weeks my receiving compost bag has turned from bright green through red and pink to white and now back to green again. (Grass, Camellia, Magnolia, Grass). If its not woody, thorny or live pugnacious roots they all go in the bin. No colour prejudice on my plot.
