That's unbelievable,

Can you remember when computers & e-mail became popular, everyone said it would be the end of paper work ::)

definietely not where "conservation" is concerned. My sympathies are with you Tim, I also have the "joy" of a listed building and after fairly major work, now have several A4 binders full, let alone all the stuff on-line!

And more!!  Had a call from the Council today -

1. My 32 page application was insufficient.
2. Why do we want Sky?
3. Cricket is not a good enough excuse.
4. Could the dish not be on the ground?
5. We need a supplier's specification as to how it will be mounted.
6. You have already fixed it? - see photo.  I did say on my form that my photo was a sim - & that the dish would be much smaller & painted 'Cotswold'.
7. Unless you answer within 2 days, you must re-submit.

Dear God - where does one go from here??

PS It is hidden from friendly neighbours by ---

CDC are completely nuts.  They have built some lodges near here round a reclaimed gravel lake and they look just like garden sheds or industrial units and they are visible from the mian road.

Why do this think you want sky?

You can get those covers for the dish which blend into the stone work.  There must be loads of dishes in the Cotswolds by now.  Once we have to go digital there will be loads of them, every time someone uses a lawn mower we loose freeview.

I feel for you :( A house near to us put up a dish but painted it to match the brickwork, you can hardly see it and it's really well done. Hope you are successful :)

The correct way to do it is to watch it on the telly with the sound down and the radio on for the commentary/cakes/CMJ's-pigeon-and-bus-obsession.......
