Title: I am a dad

Went up the allotment today& came back to find these.(http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr111/gardentg44/alottmentphotos001-1.jpg)

put in incubator 1st april,

also got 2 broodys sat on 9 eggs each.

due offnext tues & weds if they all hatch iwill be the proud father of

All them extra mouths to feed........    8) 8)  Best keep this picture away from my kids or they will be wanting chicks too.  My daughter has already said she no longer wants her brother - but a sister instead :o :o :o

Makes my three look small fry !!! must admit doing all the turning ect has been quite stressful and im worried about them that im doing it all wrong :(

the ones in the incubator are down home ,

but the broodys are up the allotment.

the plan is ,when the eggs hatch tues weds is to split the incubated chicks.



amongst the broodys so they bring them all up together


the pic was supposed to be at the bottom,i will get it right one day.

30 but it was a rush job.

should ave separated a few hens with the cockrel over a week or so

rather than just collecting them straight from the run

still good return half of them hatched now just wait to see how many pullets oh eggs for Xmas.
One tip if you hold a needle and cotten over eggs firtile eggs it swings in a circle non fertile does not move strange but true. You can tell sex of chicks circle pullet straight boys my OH laughs at me but it works. give it a try.
