Hunting the Net for private allotments last week, I not only discovered this site but also discovered someone local who wants to share her large garden to allow someone to grow vegetables in exchange for a share of the produce.
But before I jump at the opportunity I think it needs to be done on a semi legal footing - she probably doesn't want me trashing the place and walking away, and I don't want to be accused of digging up her pristine lawn without permission. Is there a standard allotment rental agreement form I could use, and if so, where can I find it?
Not that I'm aware of and it (garden sharing) has been considered dodgy by some on here when it was mentioned before... try searching garden sharing on here... for the old thread
is there anything on Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's site, he was promoting this sort of thing so might have some ideas :)

Yes, there is, thank you! There's an extensive Contract which I'll download (also a network of Landowners willing to share which could be useful if this falls through, although the ratio of Landowners to Growers is high). I couldn't find the previous thread on sharing but no doubt I can find the pro and cons of landsharing if I drop into The Shed tonight.
