Title: Sweet potato slips
Post by: starting out on April 20, 2009, 16:53:35
Hi everyone

Does anyone have any idea on where I can get some sweet potato slips from. I have tried to grow my own but after leaving the potato in a glass of water for weeks nothing happened so given up on that. I have read that T&M sell them but having just checked they are out of stock. I live in the Durham area and have checked a couple of garden centre to no avail.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I remember reading that but didnt want to ask with being very new on here and didnt think it would be a mission to actually buy any anyway but seems I may have left it too late. Ill keep looking though as we use loads of sweet potatos. Got some roasting as I type  ;)

Thanks for that. I just did a google search and it came up with the Georgia ones that are out of stock.

Would the ones that are in stock be ok as it doesnt mention they are good for all of the UK like the other ones do.

Beauregard is the one I've had success with the last two years... trying Georgia this time... haven't arrived yet but plot neighbours have...  :)
