All my peas (rwn under a cloche and NOT heavily watered, have een chewed round the leaf edges. It is a very fetching and pretty look, but what the hell is munching on them. Pea/bean weevil? If so are these critters serious and should I rip out all my plants and start again elsewhere. As always, grateful for any advice which comes my way.

Sounds like it... :-X
Don't worry too much, it never seems to do much damage.
Ditto R.B
They don't affect the beans themselves, they just seem to chew the edge of the leaves. If you have a look at the rolled up leaves on the plant, thats where they hide. They are even shagging in mine. Oi weevil, get a room ::)

This thread has gone very silly!!! ;D
My broad beans had the edges nibbled last year. I was concerned but I left them and ended up with 15lbs of broad beans from around 50 plants.
Back to the silliness! :D ;D :D
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Well there you go it can't be doing the beans any hard ;D ;D ;D
