Sparrows and blue tits have decided, this year, to use the coconut matting, lining my half baskets. for their nests. Why, this year I have no idea, unless of course the matting is now to their liking after a couple of years!
Our front garden is a one stop shop for the birds. There are 7 feeding stations & a container with hanging basket wool in it. They do look funny taking it, they pull so hard with their beaks they look as if they are about to do a backward flip ;D.

Our mossy rocks around the pond are gradually being stripped too. It's amazing the strength and the carrying weight of those little bluetits!
I watched one help himself, but he was very good and only took a little of the frayed bit. Bless.
I don'tmind really, but for some reason the blue tits have decided they don't like their nest boxes this year-shame!
