This isn't strictly a recipe question but at the risk of sounding stupid.......
how do you get the separate kernels off a corn cob without breaking them?
My OH won't eat corn on the cob but will eat "sweat corn" ::)
i slice them of with a very sharp knife
The cob needs to be cut to straighten one end then hold it upright and slice from top to bottom, bits do tend to jump round the kitchen.
Personally, I would eat the fresh cobs myself and buy him a pack of frozen if my OH was that fussy.
I am off to google for a gadget for doing it now, feel sure some American must have invented one, if I find one--I shall return.
Yup check this out

;D ;D ;D My OH is the lady of the house, I do all the cooking (which gets me out of washing up!) but yes she is fussy (to the n'th degree) e.g she'll eat pasta but not spaghetti, she'll eat bacon but not gammon........ No I don't understand either ::)
