Title: scaffolding planks
Post by: PurpleHeather on April 19, 2009, 05:12:43
In the past these have not been easy to come by even though a lot of people like to use them for raised beds.

We have just taken delivery of a load and could easily have got more from a few  sources, naturally we took the cheapest. The quality is excellent.

So, if you have tried in the past and failed. Try again.

Lucky you! Were they from a local firm?

Aaargh, I really need to find a source of decent planks. I have found a local firm who sell them on ebay, but am keen to see where everyone else gets theirs first. Someone on our site has just built a fab shed out of some lovely planky wood & others seem to have an unlimited supply of nice wood / Heras fence panels.  I think I need to have an ask around....

I rang a local scaffolding company & they have some 3m ones which they sell for £4 each. OH is concerned about the quality & would rather buy £60 worth of wood from a timber merchant. We get a 40% discount but £60 for paths between fruit crop seems a lot to me. BTW he hasn't even seen the planks ::).
