Title: Sowing summer squash?
Post by: pjb on April 15, 2009, 09:19:26
Is it too early to sow summer squash indoors (and winter squash for that matter) ? I'm trying them for the first time this year. Thanks.

they ain't frost hardy, so if you haven't got a glasshouse / polytunnel, I would hold off a bit longer, aim to plant out in early june, so sow your seed in early may, re-pot once or twice before planting out. ;)

I'm with Tony's timings... in a more favoured location you could bring them forward by up to a fortnight... but not here in the Midlands.  :-X
