Same here, and that takes something! Just goes to show what they say about book and cover.
I missed it but my daughter was so full of the ladies performance. Planned to watch it on ITV2 and then more company turned up AAGH!!!!
just hope the makeup artist dont change to mutch
this might seem wrong and dont get me wrong .
you dont have to be beautiful to be good.
Whatever your taste in music you have to give praise where praise is due ......that was out of this world...wow
;D thanks for posting THE MASTER not seen this programme before, love this song it always makes me cry and I sobbed buckets seeing this ;D how cruel were the audience and the judges at the start and their faces when she nailed the high notes, she really socked it to 'em, bless her heart,
18milllion hits on you tube and an invite on the Oprah Winfrey show and Simon Cowell saying if Susan releases an album in the states it will go to number 1...
that man has no shame ;D/ shades x
i've had that song in my head for days ???
It's taken up all the space I usually reserve for thinking about Myleene Klass :o
You're so shallow Rhubarb! You'll be telling us next that you didn't buy 'Grandad We Love You' by Clive Dunn & the Ronnettes ;)
actually Trixiebelle, I saw you were lurking, and I thought i'd try and say something really stupid and see if you would take the bait
Since it worked , does that mean i'm REALLY REALLY CLEVER or REALLY REALLY STUPID ;D
I don't usually watch Britain's Got Worrever, but after hearing some of the fuss about the lady I looked at the YouTube clip, and I have to admit to being quite annoyed at the fuss. Why is it surprising that a woman of a certain age and size and dowdiness can sing? Cos I'm all three of those, and I can sing too. So ner! :P ;)
Actually, the real surprise to me is that so few of the "talented" people on these shows actually have any talent. I can only assume they deliberately weed out the good ones before filming. ::)
Really really clever!
Hi Den ;)
Evernin' Trix. I've come back to try me luck at 'lottmenting again this year. Not a good year last, but onward and upward, eh?
Now - who's for a chorus of Can You Hear the People Sing?
Great listening.
But it's not just Scotland that has it - Wales is doing quite well?

Hello Trixie! (wavy smiley thingy ;D)
I don't have a tele but read the page spread on her in yesterday's paper & just watched the clip...so here's some stats from the paper..
"at the time of writing, Boyle's performance has been viewed nearly 30 million times on YouTube"...It's been on the NBC 'Today' Show...covered in The Washington Post....she was interviewed on 'Good Morning America' & has been invited to appear on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'..
From an appalling start in life and background, she's a triumph. And such a lovely, fun person too, from that clip. WOW!!!
I agree with DenBee -why should we be so surprised that she can sing so well? Truth is, most everyone were, which says something about us all
Actually I don't care if it's a bit fixed, or if she's had years of training, or if she really is Elaine Page in a prosthetic suit, it cheered me up enormously. And her version of Cry Me A River is even better than that Les Mis belter IMHO
She was amazing !!
And hats of to Simon cowell this week when he stopped the young lad and asked him to sing something different !! boy he has a great voice, good job Simon knows what he is hearing.
CRY ME A RIVER????? That's either Julie London or Ella ..... it cannot be replicated!
I dunno, Trix, I once saw Denise Welch performing it. Made me cry - with laughter. ;D
And yes, I know, that's a bit mean. But she's the one who went on telly and dunnit in the first place. :o
I saw Ella (and Oscar) at the Palladium. Funny thing is she looked just like my Auntie Kath. It was uncanny
Your Auntie Kath looked like the Palladium or Ella did or Oscar was uncanny?
DENISE WELCH!!!! PMSL!!!!!
Mari Wilson did it too ...

welcome back TB. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT
you're right that a Palladium was a woman, or statue thereofwho
bumped for selfish reasons I watch this clip at least twice a day ;D brings a tear every time/ shades x
Ain't she something ! Susan Boyle has been hiding her talents for --- how long ?
She started singing at 12yrs, she is now 48yrs -- she recorded Cry me a River and
Killing me Softly 10 yrs ago, for friends. How come the talent scouts missed her !
She is an 'enigma ' , what you hear is not what you see !
If you listen to her singing without a visual recording , you find it hard to relate the voice
with the person.
This is the magic of Susan, what is filling our senses is a person she really is inside --- we
have all got an inner self --- what's yours, mine was singing as a child, but now couldn't
hit an E flat if I tried ! ;D
