Title: Chooks - Closed eyes and swollen heads
Post by: delboy on April 13, 2009, 22:05:42
Aargh, some of our chickens have developed what we fear is a virus where their eyes close; their heads seem to swelll, and they splutter and have a bad dose of the sneezes - to say the least.

We are worried that it's avian rhinotracheitis, aka "swollen head syndrome". A virus.

Vets aren't an affordable option, and the vets around us in SW London seem to be good on cats and dogs but really u/s on chickens. And that's apart from the sheer cost.

Any ideas folks?
