poundland have large packs of fleece for the obvious £1, and lots of onion, garlic sets plus roses and other shrubs. :)

Thanks for that, I need fleece and was going to Homebase but £1 is good value. Don't suppose they have any slug pellets for £1. Will need loads of them.

I got a large plastic container of slug pellets (sorry don't know the weight as it's in the shed), from the 99p shop, near where I live. :)

I'll have a look there this week. Went to a garden centre in Sawbridgeworth, Herts today with my son and slug pellets were £5.99 so didn't buy anything. The plants seemed very expensive and they didn't have any fleece, or so the man who was serving said, so didn't buy anything. It was quite interesting to walk around but had a lot of Indian style garden furniture. Enormous Budha and temple painted things. It didn't have many customers, interesting to think who buys that kind of thing, granddaughter said 'Indian princes' so she may well be right. Well pounland will do me.
