This is a bit of a tall order, there are so many Fuchsias!  Could it be 'Tangerine' 'Ruddigore' 'Orange Blossom' 'Orange Coctail 'Orange Crush' 'Orange Crystal' 'Orange Drops'  'Orange Flare' 'Orange Flash' 'Orange King'  or 'Orange Mirage' for example?

Like Georgie says so many of them these days, Orange Crystal comes to my mind. But let your mum have a look at this site;

http://www.findthatfuchsia.info/o2.htm

It has descriptions and photos or go to the libery and ask for a old book on past fuchsia's depends how many years ago she had it. Fuchsia's have been around for years.
good luck
