Thought I'd try a slideshow for a change. Click below. These pics were taken about a week ago. Things have come on since then. Amazing what a difference some rain makes. The marsh marigolds have flopped into the pond following the rain. There are more tulips in bloom. Everything is bigger.

It's Chaenomeles x superba (japanese quince), grown mainly for its flowers and good for training along a wall, but it also produces small fruits that you can use in cooking. I use them for flavouring the apple crumble.
