I have noticed today some posts from James Cavendish, calling himself Hello. He seems to be trying to 'meet' women on the site.
I didn't take much notice really although he did address a post to me on a thread. Now I have checked my personal email and there are two messages from him, one saying hello lisa and the other with the title help with carrots but nothing written in the message.
I will try to hide my email now although it is obviously too late - I suggest other women do the same if they haven't already.
This has really spooked me, I don't like it one bit! >:( >:(
Report to Dan pronto. I don' t put my email address in anything online mostly because of spam, but we do have the PM facility on here and that generally works well.
I know I just didn't think to check it in my profile - live and learn I suppose. >:(
Will report to Dan, I know someone else reported him for oneof his posts today.

Reported to Dan - I've had a look at some profiles of people I have posted to and some emails are not hidden, I really do strongly suggest you get them hidden asap

Im Male, but i reported him using the "report to mod" button this morning after seeing half a dozen or more post by him that didnt really add to the threads but just to spam contact details. Shame theres weirdos about >:( . Trouble is its easy for people hiding behind a keyboard and the anominity (spelling!!) it brings to act strange!!
Hope you dont get any more hassle from them. Im sure your email client can ignore the email address from him and send it straight to your spam folder or auto delete them.
I swear by the 'bore the pants off them' method of getting rid of unwanted male attention. Pick a particularly mundane subject and bang on about it ad nauseum.. they will soon run for cover! Got rid of one particularly irritating dancefloor groper by taking an unhealthy interest in the zip on his jumper, and how shiny it was. Shoving your phone in their face and inviting them to look at the 200 photos of your sisters wedding and your work christmas party also does the trick!

I'm sorry you've got some perv hassling you, not what you'd expect on an allotment forum but i wanted to thank you for telling us about the email address option, i thought that it was hidden automatically so i've just changed mine.
Let's hope his pc crashes or something
xx
Can always fill his inbox with spam ... ...
I'm just gonna ignore him, I'm not hugely worried but just wanted to make sure others hid their email just in case he becomes a pain - I'm sure he'll get bored and slope back into the hole he came out of like the slug he is.

Never ever respond to any spam or unwanted e-mail.
Delete. Block. Report.
It is possible that his listed e-mail address is not even his, but belongs to someone he is really targeting.
This sounds even as though it might be automated spam. I've seen this on other messageboards - there seem to be programmes that can make posts, usually one liners, that appear to have something to do with the board (obviously using key words) - but with spam links attached to them, giving the game away. They must be concocted by computers, not people, but they're amazingly convincing at first glance.
I think on second thoughts I'll conceal my email address, don't want to get onto spam lists. :(
Speaking as a pervy middle-aged bloke on the prowl, I do find that his posts lack a certain finesse... it's like hanging round the park with your tackle out.... totally lets the side down, and likely to draw adverse comment.......
BTW, if you're into onions look me up on www.sexyonionchat.com..... ;D

Lush (and any others he may have targetted), with this band of protectors you've got nothing to worry about...mind you, he might have, tho ::)
Its such a comfort, we are truly blessed! ;D ;D
just off to check out sexyonionchat 8)

That gets my vote!!! ;)
But like I said in an earlier post, the advertised e-mail address may not be his address. The target may be someone legitimate who the spammer has a grudge with.
By responding with spam, you become the criminal and may cause upset to someone totally innocent (or a member of this forum).
These people are sad, today I got over 20 emails from the same person asking me to forward a CD on to as many 80's pop stars as he could think of and he wanted me to tell him my home address so he could send the CD to me, fat chance!!
