got a tray of leeks in a cold greenhouse that do not seem to be growing very fast do they need a liquid feed to get them going ? ??? ???
I'll be listening because mine are in the coldframe and aren't growing very fast, btu they are nice and green :)
If they are standing upright then they must be growing but nothing stopping you from giving them a week high notrogen feed. I am using Seaweed extraxt as a folier and root feed.
In the fore ground Welsh Seedling and right at the back pot leeks mussilbrough and others.

A lot depends upon variety ( summer/winter cropping)as to the treatment but in my opinion;a bit of patience should be enough for now.
For example my lot (winter cropping) have just germinated in the last couple of days and as I won't be planting out till sometime in June so this is just fine by me!
This is reassuring as both my leeks and my onions in my cold greenhouse are growing very slowly too.
i think i'll give them some worm wee and see how they go. It soundsas if they ae doing what they should, thanks ;D
I threatened my leeks to germinate or be thrown and new ones re-sown, they took that long to germinate. It worked though as they've now started but very slow growing.
