Hi Ive only just signed up for an allotment today they are really hard to get hold of in our area, feeling a bit apprehensive but it is only a small plot ideal for a first timer what would you recommend are the essential items not to be without there is no shed on the allotment either. Oh great forum BTW hope to be joining in a bit more as I gain experience of allotments :)
Hi FG welcome aboard our lovely friendly site.
I havent got a lottie myself, but do grow toms and beans. Ijust enjoy the site in general lots to learn and a recipe site as well ,what more could we want. All the best let us all know how you get on .
Cheers Rosebud. :)
A big welcome to A4A!!!!
You don't need to have experience of allotments on these boards F we all help each other out. :)
As the others will tell you there is no such thing as 'knowing everything about everything.' Any problems, questions, failed crops, weird beasties, whatever, just post a message and we'll try to help.
If you've any good ideas, jokes, recipes or amusing stories or simply want to 'blether' that's what we're all here for too. ;D
Looking forward to hearing from you again.
Eileen.
One of 'the gentle species' we assume?
Can't do without them! = Tim
Hi FG,
Congrats on the lottie and welcome this is a lovely site and so many great gardeners.
Me, I could not live without my fork then a spade, trowel and hoe. Before I got my shed ( hubby took pity on me) my car was the shed on wheels come to that it still is.
Welcome fairiegardener1 !! ;D Me, I wouldn't be without my little border fork as I am useless with a hoe and my wheelbarrow for shifting things about with ease, but most importantly for me, my flask full of coffee and my little chair by my compost heap where I can sip and lurk and watch the world go by! ;D
