Title: strawberry plants
Post by: debster on April 08, 2009, 20:34:19
ok this may be a daft question but here goes anyway

my strawberry bed is a disgrace its very overgrown with mainly grass etc it would be simpler to move the strawberry plants but is this feasible at this time of year or should i just bite the bullet and weed it
thanks in advance ;D

If you attempt to move the plants now you will sacrifice this years harvest which is only a few weeks away.

I took a basket load of plants from a lady in a nearby plot as payment for digging over her old strawberry bed.  I put them all in about a month ago, but was told they wouldnt crop this year.

Ah well, next year they should be well established.
