Title: Hi all from Jeannine..
Post by: Jeannine on March 29, 2009, 13:56:29
I have had many messages as to wether I am over the pond or still here ,so to clarify...

I am still here but...

We  are leaving  home on Easter Sunday, staying at the Sheraton by Heathrow  that night and flying back to Canada on Easter Monday.

I will be able to say a final goodbye to you all as I go and I will confirm we made it as quick as I can when back in Vancouover area.

However while I am here I want to say a huge big thank you to all the folks out there who have been my family for the last few years, I would have liked to have met more of you in person and shall treasure the memoreies of the seed swap and funeral when I met some of you.

I will be gone but still available for whatever.. so a big sincere please to you all. If ever, and I repeat IF EVER I can send you seeds etc from Canada/US please contact me and I will do my very best.

I know only too well how frustrating it can be to want something you can't get, so with a "family member "over there it should be do-able.

I have promised to find Tyee spinach for  a few folks and would appreciate a reminder as I will otherwise have to troll through posts as I didn't make a note.

I envy you all with your sowing and planting, hopefully I will have time to do a little bit  this year (might be on a balcony though!!)

I hope you all have a super growing season and everything comes up just as you hope with no floods, freezes or droughts, as we all deserve a good year.

So off to pack yet another case... oh dear we are already well over our allowance.

We are flying economy as I just couldn't justify another £6000  to go in style. Having said that I am debating to find the courage to see if I can get a cheap update, after all we are travelling on our 50th wedding anniversary, but I probably won't have the nerve.

I have booked and  flown first class a couple of times but never  before asked for an upgrade, actually I am not sure really how it works but friends are pushing me to have a go.

Anyway..my lovely green fingered family, I shall be watching you with interest and joining in your adventures, woes and joys..

God Bless you all for your wonderful sincere fiendships, they have meant much much more to me than you could ever know.

XX Jeannine

Certainly go for the Upgrade.I've had 3..two to Bizniss Class & one to 1st 8)

BUT..you're travelling at a busy time (tho praps travellers are already at their destination?), so see if you can access the website & see which seats have already been taken (they've gotta big 'X' on them)..I'm presuming you've got booked seats?  If Bizzie Class/1st is fully booked, at least try to get a change for a bulkhead Sardine Section seat....think you need this anyway for yr health probs....oh! and don't forget to remember yr
wedding anniv....always good for a bottle of champers - wherever you're sitting 8)

(and sorry, I was PMing you at the time you posted here earlier....all I sed then still stands good :-*)

When you're at the check in find some way of mentioning it's your wedding anniversary e.g. It's my wedding anni and i'm going to be stuck on a plane for it how annoying is that?!

Maybe a bit weak but perhaps someone has a good line to try.

Good luck...hope it's not goodbye you will come and talk to us on here even if you have new friends?
