ever take out the extended warranty on domestic appliances, i had to buy a new washing machine today and was offered one, i said no cos i would save the money for buying the next one, this one has lasted over 4 years of very extreme use with no problems til now.
i never buy a really classy model with all singing all dancing gadgets usually pay around £250.
does any take the offers out, i have in the past but just cant justify it these days
Never Debster!
Never, Never, if you have contents insurance it should cover it anyway.
The shops are a total rip off. If it went wrong within a year they would get it back toot sweet anyway.
NOPE!! An I reckon that the peeps who hard-sell these also have to sell they're selling cr*p products guaranteed to break down? - QED ;D
(but it's an essential part of their paypacket - poor loves :'() )
i always think you should know if your appliance is gonna have a manufacturers fault within the first year in which case it is covered, after that it becomes wear and tear.
Not worth the paper they are written on - total rip off. I have a lovely local chap who does repairs cheaply as he is semi retired and he said most washing machines are badly built and not made to last anyway, I had to buy a new one recently becuase the barings went and they were not replacable like they used to be so bought the cheapest I could find this time.
Lushy x :)
Years ago we paid for one of these but after 2 years they refused to extend it. Never again. Just when something might go wrong they won't cover you. So I agree. Don't buy it. I have gone up market a bit and bought a Miele.
I would never buy one but for some reason unbeknown to me I did buy one when I bought my cooker.
The gas rings kept getting clogged and I think they came out three/four times to poke a pin down the hole, which I learnt to do myself in the end. Then the small oven wouldn't work so called them out again and the engineer decided to write it off. Got vouchers for £800 cooker only cost £250, so promptly asked myself, do I want a new cooker or would I like a flat screen tele........................the tele won hands down...................cooker still going strong minus the use of small oven.
So, now not sure what I would do when the time comes to buy a new appliance.
