We have a frost forecast for saturday night here in West Yorkshire - its going to be -3C :o That would finish most things off in the greenhouse (and anything not really hardy outside) unless its heated or very well insulated.
Springs not quite settled here yet!
I never believe it till after the end of May :o :o :o :o
In the Midlands we can expect frost until the end of May :)
Much to early yet to be in the clear.

I've had a light frost every night this week. The wind has now gone into the south and it has warmed up a bit.
I just bring my seed trays in at might so they can warm up, then put them out again next morning. :)
A few years ago we had a frost on June 16th. I arrived to find that one end of a row of toms had been blasted (they recovered), but the other hadn't been touched.
Yes I remember that very late frost Robert :(
I had better get some parasene for my greenhouse heater.
i know its been mentioned before but would a large lit candle do for keeping light frost at bay in a 8 x 6 size greenhouse ???
the candle would keep frost at bay in a coldframe, just put a terracotta pot over the candle, and a crock over the hole. you aiming to store heat, not light the place up! ;)
ive got bubble wrap over all our seed trays,do you think that will be enough to protect them from the frost,if it comes?(northwest)
Probably. All we're likely to get now is a likght air frost that's easily kept at bay.
Here in north bucks we had a air frost today!! :o
forcast 1degrees saterday then next week will be warming up you seen the high presure thats comming up the coast
the sun will have his hat on hip hip horray
thanks for the answers Robert_Brenchley and tonybloke.
Can pretty much guarantee a frost here in London as soon as our camelia blooms. Last night was no exception >:(
